Updates to BWP Plugins – 2015

Hello,

I would like to announce a few updates for BWP Plugins this year – 2015:

BWP reCAPTCHA and BWP Minify will be updated this month, followed by BWP Google XML Sitemaps and the rest, except for BWP Syntax Highlighting (see below).

BWP Syntax Highlighting will be discontinued in favour of other client-side syntax highlighting plugins. If someone would like to maintain this plugin, feel free to contact me via contact/ and I will give you contributor access.

– All BWP plugins’ documentation will be converted to reStructuredText and will be put on github as well to make updating documentation a whole lot easier and more collaborative.

The easiest way to follow BWP plugin development is via github: https://github.com/OddOneOut?tab=repositories

Thank you all for your continued support, stay tuned!

    Hi, I love your plugin.

I don’t know what I was thinking but I removed the custom style css file from the enqueued files list, and now my site looks awful. I have disabled the plugin (on wordpress) because I am not sure how to re-add the file. I tried clearing the cache and clearing the file list but it stays “removed”.
Is there some way to reset this / reinstate this file?

    Please help!

Hi, thanks for using BWP Minify.

You can go to BWP Minify > Manage enqueue files > Manage enqueued CSS files > click on Styles to remove (on the right side), remove the custom CSS’s handle from there, and then press Save changes.

      Hope that helps.

Can the plugin be used with a form that is not the contact, login etc? Want to use a form within Mailchimp plugin.

What plugin are you using? If it’s popular enough I might consider adding support for it.

BWP recaptcha exposes certain functionality that can be used to render/check captcha in any form, but some kinds of addons will be required.

    Hi,

I am using bwp minify and I think it is a great plugin to speed up my website!! Thanks for that!

I have a particular case I am not sure how to solve, though.

My website uses Bootstrap and dowloads the css file from their cdn. Then, my theme css overwrites some of the properties. Originaly, bootstrap.css was loaded before theme.js.

When I enable minification, theme.js goes into the combined file and bootstrap.js is ignored as I set bwpm up so that external files are ignored.

How can I make the minified css to come after the ignored ones?

    My website is http://www.sailingyoga.com

I believe deactivating the plugin should return everything to normal, unless you’re using a cache plugin as well. In that case, try clearing that cache plugin’s cache. If you still have issues, feel free to open a support topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bwp-minify .

    [BWP Minify]

Hi there! I’m using BWP Minify, and was wondering if there’s a way to programmatically flush the cache? I have certain triggers in my theme that I use to clear other types of cache, etc. and would love a way to do that for BWP Minify. (A PHP method makes the most sense to me, but I could also make an ajax post to some form if javascript were required.)

    Many thanks,

    B

      Hello,

Unfortunately there’s no easy way to programmatically flush the cache at the moment. Will consider this for future versions.

    Hi,

I installed your plugin & have not touched any of the settings since I am not a pro with website stuff – However, I wanted to know how I can edit settings to improve my page speed. I was able to see the insights via Google PageSpeed.

I developed this site by IP, but when I set DNS to go live, one CSS file is still referenced by IP instead of by domain. View Source at: http://northsoundbusinessnetwork.com/

No JS or CSS files are set to stay in position or be excluded.
