Hi – after updating today, it’s now broken 🙁

It says “No recent comment found”. I’ve deactivated and reactivated, added a new instance, reset the instance, but it just says “No recent comment found” 🙁

Can you advise me please? I will try to delete and reinstall now.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I can’t do it today (I installed the old version 1.2.0, which is working just fine) – I’ll set it up over the next few days when I’m back in front of my normal machine, and I’ll drop you the username and password through the contact form.

    Thanks 🙂

Thanks for working on the plugin, very useful.

However, I’ve just noticed it will now show pingbacks in my blog, even though it’s disabled in the settings. The previous version did not have this issue.

Are you using Local list (widget with an instance name)? Or you just change settings on General Settings page and then add an empty widget to your sidebar?

I went in the dashboard BWP RC to set the options (e..g. “show at most “0” recent trackbacks/pingbacks, and choose and output method “Do not show trackbacks/pingbacks”), then in Appearance->Widget, I moved “BWP Recent Comments” widget to my sidebar. No title, no instance name. but “Use saved settings for this instance” is ticked.

Where can I download the old version? The new one works for me, but I cannot choose to display protected comments.

There’s no option to display comments from protected posts, they are all hidden. If you display comments from protected posts, each visitor will see a different recent comment list, which is not a good thing.

I only display recent comments to users who have entered the password. The old version did it just fine, whereas the new one automatically prevents comments from protected posts.

I’m looking forward to 1.2.2, as there are more options planned (according to the to do list): Improve comment text for protected posts (more options – 1.2.2)

Hmm I wonder how you did it, each protected posts of yours have the same password?

That’s right, the password only changes once a year. Now I use a snippet from as a temporary solution.

I appreciate your time and effort you put into the plugin, it’s great!

I have the same problem as tony collins. I updated today and now it says “no recent comments found.” Where can I get the old plug in?

I “fixed” it by ftping to the site and uploading the old class-bwp-recent-comments.php file to the Includes folder. I’ve made no other changes because it appears to be working, but I’m worried about long term, if this is going to crash or what.

I’m not a coder and don’t know php, I only guessed about which file to switch back and lucked out. Any advice is appreciated.

actually, right after I posted to you, the whole thing came down with a 500 internal error, bringing down both my sites. Godaddy wasn’t very helpful the first time I called. I tried replacing the entire plug-ins folder with my back up. No good.
finally another tech told me that my htaccess was broken. Replaced that, and got most of it going with a few errors. Then de-activated Theme My Login and re-activated it. That fixed it. Now I have the old version again.

Hi, I have been using your plugin for quite a while and everything works fine until the most recent upgrade…

With version 1.2.0 RC1, the AJAX navigation of Older and Newer buttons can be seen on my web page. After upgrading to 1.2.1, they disappeared. Now there are only »» and «« links on my page.

Checking web page source code, I find that, the “.bwp-rc-ajax-nav” class is not loading (I checked “Enable AJAX navigation” in options panel). I have tested with different themes and the results are the same.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

      Ok, I found a solution:

      Using shortcode [bwp-rc prev=”Older »” next=”« Newer” ajax=true] will do the job.

But I don’t know why Templates for AJAX navigation in the Options panel are not working…

      Maybe it’s a bug?

        New issue:

Because the “.bwp-rc-ajax-nav” CSS is not loading, the navigation buttons are now on the left side of each page and I cannot modify it.

        Any suggestion? Thanks!

Hi, I used to use the BWP GXS without problem.

Recently, I found it didnt update automatically.
Therefore, I tried to publish the sitemap manually, hence, I found that, actually, the sitemapindex.xml was gone..

I tried to delete this plugin and installed it again.. it still shows no configuration pages.
    The sitemapindex.xml is not generated.

Please advise how I should enable this plugin.
PS:, using Nginx, Cloudflare, and W3TC with Varnish Service.

      Hi Kay,

Have you recently made any change to the site? E.g. installing a new plugin, installing something on the server that might affect the plugin?

Hi! The comments are not being updated. I set it up and it pulled the latest 5 and it looks great. But 4 more comments came in a day later and the comment widget does not update.

Same problem here. The newest comments don’t update on my sidebar
The only way I found to make it work is to disable the plugin and reactivate it.

The widget is not picking up the comments from the most recent post. It has them from the 2nd most recent… anything I need to do or is this a bug?
