I set mine to 30 days, thus:

$min_serveOptions['maxAge'] = 2592000;

But when I look at the page with Page Speed, it still says 2 hours, the default value.

However, I'd like to add a page that shows stories (posts) that do not yet have a comment. This would allow a reader to browse these stories and be the first to comment on one. Is this possible with this plugin? I tried to mess with some of the settings but I don't see how it can be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

It's missing last two variables, locale=en_US&userid=3.

I tested this link on two different sites that use this the 1.1.1 version of this plugin and on one of them the url that loads on the external link template page uses hex codes for some characters while the other one doesn't appear to use hex at all.

Using (current) WP 3.51 & php 5.x on linux / apache based setup...

Brief history:
Over the last (...almost...) year, we have been attempting to use this plugin on 5 different sites (4 live, and one in development), through versions WP 3.x and up (kept current with version upgrades), and all sites provide the same google webmaster tools error:

"Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead."

The "error" reports that on line 2 there is a tag that reports "html" ... we have examined both the resultant xml file as rendered, and as it's source code... and we do not find any such even close reference inside that tags anything as "html" - especially near line 2 as reported...

Additionally; when we had the time... we have attempted the "usual" maneuvers of disabling all other plugins, and yet, the "error" remains...  Also - not all sites are running exactly the same plugins anyway - so that's almost a mute point - but not quite. Then we started thinking its a plugin or  WP issue - and so we started tearing at the base plugin and WP code - and we couldn't find anything specific... not that we're the experts at this plugin - you folks are !!!!

We're sort of at our wits end with this issue, and don't have any more time to devote to this - so we're working around it until a possible update resolves this, and using an entirely external script to generate all sitemaps, on all sites.

Your assistance with a resolution would be VERY appreciated.

It's working perfectly yet I need to change my news sitemap language to show that my content is in Turkish with internatinal language code tr. Is there a way to edit plugin to add this option?

Second, I see that Turkish characters can be a problem, so I searched and found out putting the title and description between CDATA codes.

Summary: I'm using Yoast SEO (Disabled sitemaps because News Sitemap was empty and yours is better) , BWB Google XML Sitemaps and its Google News sitemap functionality  and Google Feedburner. I need better sitemaps, if possible better RSS for better SEO purposes.

is there an option to trim the comments shown in the sidebar (widget) by single characters, not by whole words? This always causes issues in my template, e.g. if the comment author writes many long words or posts an URL.

I've been looking for the right line of code to get the new url generated by the plugin to

urlencode($string)

the proper string--I think its just cause I'm tired and I can't think, lol.

I need it to encode as I get a "403 Forbidden" when I visit the site as a visitor--if I'm logged in it works fine--It could my .htaccess file--if I manually encode the URL it works.

But any help would be appreciated.

However, everything changed for the worse when I update W3TC to the most recent version and it makes an index of every article on my site in Google News to be very slow, almost an hour has not been indexed in Google News.

I have tried to make some changes to the settings of W2TC and BWP News Sitemap, until it made my server to be down in a few minutes. But I don't get the best results from that changes and everything still not working right now.
