Topic: [Resolved] Old multisite site in url sitemapindex

Hi,
I created a site on my multisite and then renamed it. But the url of the sitemapindex still goes to the old sitename.

So for example I first created with the domain mapping plugin on blog id5 the site housekeeping.com and www.housekeeping.com as primary.

Then I thought it would be better to name it cleanhouse.com. So I added to blogid 5 cleanhouse.com and www.cleanhouse.com as primary. Before that I undid the primary setting of www.housekeeping.com.

But the sitemapindex.xml still has the following url:
http://housekeeping.com/sitemapindex.xml while I expected it to change from http://www.housekeeping.com/sitemapindex.xml to http://www.cleanhouse.com/sitemapindex.xml

If I remove the housekeeping.com mappings, the url changes to http://cleanhouse.com/sitemapindex.xml but that doesn't solve my problem as I wanted to use the 301 redirects on housekeeping.com to cleanhouse.com.

What can be the problem?

Where are you checking the sitemap's url? Also, have you deactivated the plugin? I can't seem to access any.

They were just examples.

In my specific situation I see http://boekhoudenvoorstarters.nl/sitemapindex.xml but that is the old site and in the domain mapping plugin the primary website is now www.cursusboekhouden.com for this blog id.

I also use the domain mapping plugin and this plugin seems to work fine. Have you tried clearing all the logs and flush the cache?

I cleared the logs and flushed the cache but it still goes to the site first made (boekhoudenvoorstarters) instead of the primary.

Those old urls are basically saved in the logs, so just press Clear Logs and they will be gone.
